Sota is a student at a confectionary school and is in a relationship with Saeko, his sweetheart since high school. Saeko is a highly attractive and popular girl who finally said yes to Sota’s multiple efforts. A day before Valentine’s Day however, Saeko refuses to meet Sota for the special day and tells him she was never really actually dating him. He tries to give her the chocolate he wholeheartedly made for her but she does not accept. Despite the situation, Sota decides to continue making chocolate to try and turn Saeko’s feelings around. Alone, he flies to France to become one of the best chocolatiers. 5 years later, Sota returns to Japan to open his chocolatier.
