A rookie medical examiner arrives at the Kanto Medical Examiner’s Office, where doctors are constantly coming face to face with death. Hikaru had decided to become a medical examiner after being moved by a comment made by another doctor: “We have to listen to the last words of the dying.” The medical examiners unravel stories of life hidden behind death, and cherish life more in so doing. Hikaru is surrounded by attractive women demonstrating their brilliance at work. Together, they unfold the truth of the lives of the deceased.
