Second to Last Love is set in the former capital, Kamakura, and depicts the “prime” of adults’ lives, specifically Chiaki Yoshino (Kyoko Koizumi), Wahei Nagakura (Kiichi Nakai), and their quirky friends and family. A year and a half has passed since the drama special that followed the first series, but the long-awaited second season is coming this spring! Chiaki is 48 years old, Wahei is 52. Together, their combined ages are now 100, but their relationship as a casually bickering couple hasn’t changed. The other members of the Nagakura family also continue to live out their lives that are laced with laughs and heartache.
