Mamoru is a single man, who is about to turn 40. When his best friend dies, Mamoru adopts his deceased friend’s twin children. The twins bring home a dog one day, and the three and the dog begin their life together. Mamoru soon finds out that the dog can actually speak the human language. With the little twins and a talking dog, Mamoru overcomes various problems, and comes to realize that he, the twins, and the dog have become a real family.

One of the hottest and highest-rated titles for the 2011 Spring Season, this drama took Japan by storm, with the outstanding performance by the two young actors, and the ending theme song, “Maru Maru Mori Mori,” which had the entire nation up and dancing along to the tune.
