Kaoru Kanzaki (Machiko Ono) was raised in poverty. As an adult, she’s worked hard to save up one million yen, but lending the sum to a co-worker is the first step towards her downfall into crushing debt. Kaoru meets the employee of a shady management consulting firm who introduces her to the underworld, but even as she struggles, Kaoru turns her fortune around with her inherent competitive spirit. Along the way, she deals with the hassles and conflicts of some tough customers through various means. This “underworld entertainment” is adapted from the popular comic by Takashi Tajima and Takahiro Kochi.
