These days, the news is abuzz with one story after another about company misconduct like camouflaged activities, cover-ups, illegal payoffs, creative accounting, and leaking of personal information, as well as more personal troubles such as false molestation charges and adultery scandals. And in today’s world, information is spread in the blink of an eye, and erasing it is a very difficult task.
The main character is Satoshi Saigyoji. He worked in crisis management for GE in the US and the Japanese government, where he solved so many troubles that he earned the industry nickname “the God of Risk” on the way to becoming a legendary crisis management specialist. Japan’s biggest trading company, the Sunrise Corporation, has confidence in Satoshi’s skills and hires him to be their general manager of crisis measures so he can handle the various troubles and scandals that arise at the company and during trading deals.
The heroine, Kaori Kagari, is on the main career track at Sunrise. She is the most prominent up-and-comer of all her peers who joined at the same time.
