Kaoru UTSUMI (Kou SHIBASAKI), a newly-transferred detective, is introduced to Manabu YUKAWA (Masaharu FUKUYAMA), a handsome and highly-intelligent but somewhat strange physics professor who is also called Galileo because of his specific way of solving a seemingly supernatural phenomenon scientifically.
