Alice Mitazono is a super celebrity who was brought up in luxury. Her father is a hotel magnate who owns hotels all over the world, and her mother was the first Japanese actress who won the Oscar.
On the other hand, Taro Sato is an extremely-poor day laborer. He and his three children have been scraping by somehow living in an old house. He has only 3,000 yen (US$30) in the bank.
One day, Taro gets a job as a chauffeur for Alice. They are from totally different social classes and have totally different values. However, the two happen to meet and start being attracted to and gradually come to understand each other.
